# Your first useful result

Start with a clearly labelled practice task. First ask for a read. Then use a small text file you already have permission to upload, such as a file containing only “Forge connection check”. Don't ask the agent to make up a local file from chat.

In my Forge workspace, create a task called “Practice: connection check”. Add one step: “Confirm Forge connection”. Attach the small text file I have given you. Do not create a public share link or change any other file access. Then read the task back and tell me the exact task, attachment and access you found.

Check the title, step and attachment appear in the workspace you expected. If you use more than one app or device, open the task there too and ask for a readback before you trust that it also works. If anything is wrong, stop and check the product's connector settings and your Forge sign-in.

Once you've confirmed it worked, ask the agent to name the exact practice task and attachment, then delete the practice task. Only delete the file too if you made it just for this test. If your account can only read, just ask the agent to read the workspace, and ask an administrator to confirm whether you can make changes.
